Sedgwick County Grassroots Democrats is a Kansas registered Political Action Committee (PAC) committed to getting more everyday Kansans informed and actively participating in the funding and promotion of Democratic values, ideals, and candidates.

What are the grassroots?

Grassroots organizations are built from the bottom up, by everyday people taking action to bring about change. We help elect progressive local and state candidates to office.

What does Grassroots Democrats do?

We have monthly meetings where we invite speakers from the community to speak on various timely issues, a quick Executive Board meeting, and break-out sessions for our working committees.

In addition to our regularly scheduled monthly meetings, we also hold candidate trainings, campaign trainings, volunteer trainings, volunteer opportunities, FUNdraising events, register voter at community events and provide candidates with speaking opportunities. For a full list of our upcoming events, please visit our events page.

What do progressives believe?

We believe in Freedom, Opportunity, and Security for all. For an in-depth description of our values and issues positions, please visit our values page.

How can I help Sedgwick County?

If you’re interested in getting involved with the Sedgwick County Grassroots Democrats, learning more about specific issues, or hearing from Democratic candidates directly, please feel free to attend one of our monthly meetings or other upcoming events, all are welcome. If you’d like to support our work, please consider a donation or signing up to become a dues paying member.
