A roaring good time was had by all who attended the “Speakout Speakeasy Soiree,” April 26 at the Brass Taproom inside Side Pockets in west Wichita. The event, hosted by the Sedgwick County Grassroots Democrats, was designed to raise funds for Democratic candidates for local, state and national offices. Flappers and cool cats who attended enjoyed a Roaring ’20s theme complete with live jazz, period attire, dancing, a cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and more.
