USD 259 Board of Education, DEI issue.

The issue is still under discussion in-house at the district…multiple DEI policies are under review for policy changes, DEI info is still missing from the district website, there has been no public announcement about the district’s position, etc.

This is an issue the school board will ultimately need to vote on.

Public comment is encouraged on the issue at the May meeting this coming Monday (May 5), 6 pm, North High.

It’s important to keep this issue on the front burner and help strengthen board members’ understanding and resolve to stand up for the right thing.

However, the issue will not be formally discussed (and voted on?) until the June meeting on Monday (June 9), 6 pm North High.
