Donations are requested for the Silent Auction at the Sedgwick County Grassroots Democrats Chili Cook-Off on Sept. 28.
The third annual event is a fundraiser for Democratic candidates across Sedgwick County. In addition to all-you-can-eat chili, all the fixin’s, drinks and dessert, the event will feature a Silent Auction with a variety of items ranging from food baskets to home decor items to original artwork and more. Attendees can bid on as many items as they wish with all proceeds going to support Sedgwick County Democratic candidates for public office and related activity.

The cook-off and auction will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 at the Firefighter’s Hall, 428 N. St. Francis in Wichita. Tickets again this year will be $25 per adult, $15 for students. Attendees will receive a ticket at the door to place in the jar next to their pick for the best chili. Local candidates will be invited to this event for a meet and greet.
