This month’s meeting is Thursday\, February 12th\, at Felipe’s Restaurant\, 3434 West Central Ave. in Wichita(The meeting starts at 6:30\, but feel free to join some of us at 5pm for dinner and conversation) \nKansas Immigration Coalition representatives Sarah Balderas\, Balderas Legal Group\, and Yeni Silva-Renteria\, LMSW International Rescue Committee \nWhat:         Monthly meeting \n When:        April 9\, 2026 (The meeting starts at 6:30\, but feel free to join us at 5pm for dinner and conversation) \nWhere:      Felipe’s Restaurant\, 3434 W Central \n  \nProgram:  Yeni Telles\, Executive Director of IRC Kansas and co-founder of the Kansas Immigration Coalition and Sarah Balderas\, local immigration Attorney will be joining us. \nKansas Immigration Coalition (KIC) \nKIC brings together individuals and organizations to advocate for just\, humane immigration policy at all levels of government.  “In Kansas\, we believe that every immigrant’s story is a thread that strengthens the fabric of our communities.” \nThe Kansas Immigration Coalition is made up of partner organizations across Kansas that work to equip immigrant communities with resources that reduce fear\, promote confidence\, and safeguard the dignity and well-being of immigrant communities across the state. \n  \nFriendly reminder – Elizabeth Bishop reminds everyone that membership dues are $30 and can be paid at this meeting.

Handley\, Wichita\, Kansas. \nChris Mann came within 1\,000 votes of defeating Kris Kobach four years ago\, losing by only.0.9 percent. \nSedgwick County Grassroots Democrats know they are invited to meet and hear Chris Mann at this event.  \nPlease RSVP to: info@chrismannforkansas.com.  \nIf you cannot attend please consider making a donation at the Chris Mann for Kansas website.\nChris is running a competitive race against Kobach\, but Chris Mann needs to raise more campaign funds to defeat Kobach\, who is mostly supported by wealthy Republican attorneys from the Washington D.C. suburbs and other out of state contributors. \n  \n
